Achievement Center-Achievement Center - Huettig Memorial Scholarship The Achievement Center Huettig Memorial Fund was established in June 2008. This fund will award a Portage County resident who will be pursuing a post-secondary degree in the field of special education, or support the operation of the Achievement Center. Scholarship recipients may also be eligible for multi-year awards. This scholarship will award up to $600 annually. |

Behnke-Donn Behnke Scholarship This scholarship is open to SPASH senior men who have been on the cross-country team and have been accepted to a College, University, or Technical College. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

Bills-Bill's Pizza Scholarship This is a scholarship fund established by Barlow Enterprises for an employee of Bill’s Pizza who is or will be attending a school of higher education. This scholarship will award up to $600 annually. |

Cherek-William Cherek Recognizing an importance in education, this scholarship was created to provide a scholarship each year. The recipient must be a graduating senior from Rosholt High School who plans to pursue an accounting degree and is a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $1000 each will be awarded annually. |

Community First Bank-Community First Bank Scholarship Through the Community First Bank Scholarship Fund, Community First Bank will award a total of a half million dollars in scholarships to students of the Stevens Point community, through 2034. Each student selected will receive up to a $1,000 scholarship renewable for up to 4 years. |

Cook-Cook Family Scholarship This scholarship fund, established in 2006 by Jay and Linda Cook, will provide a scholarship each year to a graduating SPASH senior, who will be attending an accredited University and who has not received other scholarships of greater value. The applicant should illustrate a balance of academics and employment experiences. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

Davies-Laura Davies Memorial Scholarship - Learn more about Laura Click Here This scholarship was established in 1997. In 2005 it began to award to SPASH seniors who meet the scholarship application criteria and who spent their elementary years at McDill Elementary School. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $750 each will be awarded annually. |

Evenson-Heidi Evenson Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is open to SPASH senior women who have been a member of the Girl’s Gymnastic Team at any time between grades 9-12. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

Fat Boy- Requires Special Application - Download -->Fat Boy Golf Scholarship -Learn more about Peter Click Here This scholarship is open to graduating seniors from SPASH and Pacelli who are members of the golf team and plan to attend a 4-year College, University or Technical College. There will be up to three (3) scholarship winners per year. This scholarship will award up to $750 annually to each selected recipient. |

FriedrichPeter Friedrich Memorial Scholarship -Learn more about Peter Click Here This scholarship was created in the spring of 2008 in the memory of Peter and will be awarded to a Portage County resident who meets the scholarship application criteria. This scholarship will award up to $1000 annually. |

Heiser-LeRoy & Phyllis Heiser Basketball Scholarship LeRoy and Phyllis Heiser, longtime fans of the Stevens Point Area Senior High School Basketball program, established the LeRoy and Phyllis Heiser Basketball Scholarship to recognize a varsity basketball player, with financial need, who will be continuing on to higher education. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually, which is available only for the recipient’s first year of school. |

Iber- Requires Special Application - Download -->Iber Health Education Scholarship (High School Seniors are not eligible to apply)This fund exists for the purpose of providing annual scholarships to Portage County students to assist them in health related careers, and to encourage their return to the community as professionals. This scholarship is for existing college students or for those returning to study a specific medical area. Up to (3) scholarships with an award up to $1000 each will be awarded annually. |

Jensen-Win & Nora Jensen Scholarship With a desire to give back to the people who helped to make their dental practice a success, the late Nora and Dr. Win Jensen established the Win and Nora Jensen Scholarship Fund. In addition to the family's involvement in Win's dental practice, steadfast faith in their church was a guiding influence in their daily lives. This scholarship is open to a Portage County resident who is attending a church affiliated and supported school of higher education. Four years is the maximum number of years for eligibility of this scholarship. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $500 each will be awarded annually. |

Johnson Nursing Scholarship This was created for the purpose of providing an annual scholarship to a non-traditional Portage County resident who is a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in an accredited nursing program. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

Kocha-Jim Kocha Memorial Scholarship This scholarship fund was established in 2010 in memory of long time teacher Jim Kocha and offers scholarships to graduating seniors at SPASH that plan to attend a 4-year College or University. This scholarship will award up to $1000 annually. |

Norton-Jill & John Norton Scholarship This scholarship fund was established in 2006 by John and Jill Norton to provide scholarship(s) each year to a graduating SPASH senior who will be attending a University of Wisconsin system campus. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $350 each will be awarded annually. |

Olson-Mike Olson Cross Country Scholarship This scholarship was established by students, parents and friends of Mike Olson in recognition of his long-term dedication to the SPASH Girls Cross-Country program. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

Schultz-Scott Schultz Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established in 2008 by the family and friends of Scott Schultz, a true community servant. At various times in his short life, he served on the county board, the school board, the community park board and many other community/university committees. He worked primarily in the Alumni and University Foundation offices until he became Mayor of Stevens Point, an office he held for seven years through the 1990’s. With his sudden death at the age of 51 it was felt that a scholarship in his name to a worthy student who shared his sense of community service would be the most fitting tribute. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $1000 each will be awarded annually (one to a SPASH student, the other to a Pacelli student). |

SmithCheri Smith Scholarship In 2007, Cheri Smith celebrated 25 years in business as a successful real estate broker in Stevens Point. As a UWSP graduate in business and economics, she felt a scholarship was an important way to thank the community with a lasting gift to university students. Available to UWSP Juniors or Seniors majoring in business administration and/or economics. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

SorensonDirk Sorenson Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is open to members of the SPASH wrestling team who plan to attend a College, University or Technical College. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

SPAEAF-Stevens Point Area Education Association Foundation Scholarship Up to (26) scholarships are open to any SPASH senior, OR the son/daughter of a Stevens Point Public School District employee, who plans to attend a College, University, or Technical College. Each scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

SPAEAF- AmdahlSPAEAF- Dave Amdahl "PANTHER" Wrestling Scholarship This scholarship is open to members of the SPASH wrestling team who plan to attend a College, University or Technical College. This scholarship will award up to $250 annually. |

SPAEAF- SchwartzSPAEAF- Schwartz Family Scholarship This scholarship, established by the family and friends of John M. Schwartz, provides a scholarship to a graduating senior seeking to attend a technical or trade school. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $300 each will be awarded annually. |

SPAEAF- VollendorfSPAEAF- Jon Vollendorf Girls Basketball Scholarship This scholarship is open to SPASH senior female basketball players who plan to attend a College, University or Technical College. This scholarship will award up to $250 annually. |

SPARTA-Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers Association This scholarship is open to any SPASH senior, OR the son/daughter of a Stevens Point Public School District employee, who plans to attend a College, University, or Technical College. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. *Note: Applicants to the Stevens Point Area Education Association Foundation Scholarship are automatically considered applicants for this scholarship. If you applied for that scholarship, you do not need to submit this application. |

Thurmaier-Mary Thurmaier Foreign Language Scholarship This scholarship fund, established in 2007 by Mary Thurmaier and her children, provides a scholarship to a graduating SPASH Senior who will be attending an institute of higher education, and who has an academic background and continuing interest in foreign language. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

Turner-Tim Turner Scholarship Known as a caring man and often called a Good Samaritan for the little acts of kindness that he randomly did for people he did not even know, the late Tim Turner of Almond is being memorialized by family and friends through the Tim Turner Scholarship Fund. Open to a graduating senior from a Portage County high school, this scholarship is awarded to a person of strong character like the generous man for whom this fund is named. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $1000 each will be awarded annually. |

Wandrey-John Wandrey Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established in 2006 in memory of John Wandrey who served Portage County in various ways. John’s demonstrated philosophy was “you can’t just take from your community; you have to give something back”. This scholarship is available to a graduating Portage County student who is involved in their school and community and demonstrates service and leadership roles. This scholarship will award up to $500 annually. |

WozniakJoe Wozniak Memorial Scholarship The Joe Wozniak Memorial Fund was established in June 2008 and is available to a Portage County resident who will be attending a two-year technical college. Up to (2) scholarships with an award up to $1000 each will be awarded annually. Scholarship applicants are eligible for award for their 2nd year of school, if criteria are met. |
