How to Start a Fund

1. Select and meet with the professional advisor of your choice

2. Meet with a staff member at the Community Foundation, or a favorite charity to discuss your charitable goals

3. Determine the amount of the gift you wish to make

4. Decide when you would like to make the gift

5. Choose the kind of gift you wish to make (cash, property, life insurance, etc.) that will maximize your tax      benefits and minimize the impact on other beneficiaries.

6. Act on your intentions... don't wait!
